How to check what Claude Code or Codex did when it says it's done
In HB Code the whole agent thread is clickable. You open the command it ran, the file it read, and the change it made, and the chat stays where it is.
HB Code is a desktop app for Mac and Windows that runs Claude Code and Codex on your own computer, with your own Claude and ChatGPT plans.
Steps
- Open the session. Each command, file, and edit of the agent is a row in the thread.
- Click a command. A viewer opens with the output that the command printed.
- Click a file that the agent read or named. Code opens with syntax highlighting, and Markdown opens as a formatted page.
- Click an edit. It opens as a diff.
- Press View git changes in the top bar. The panel lists the changed files of the project with their line counts, and each file opens its patch.
Good to know
- Claude Code and Codex sessions use the same thread and the same viewers.
- A subagent has a thread of its own. You open its commands, files, and changes in the same way.
- The plan of the agent shows in the thread and changes while the agent works.
- The iPhone and Android apps open the same thread.
